Relationships can be challenging.

It’s no secret that navigating the nuances of feelings and relationships—be it between family members, colleagues, or in romance—can be confusing and overwhelming.

You often have to manage more than one type of relationship at a time, which can create greater feelings of frustration, shame, anxiety, and uncertainty.

Whether you’re struggling with dating, going through a break-up, getting married, entering parenthood for the first time, or becoming an empty nester, it can be helpful to have someone with an outside perspective to lean on, beyond family and friends. This is where I come in—taking an interactive approach to help you find balance and sort through the weight and discomfort of it all.

How I Help:

Individual Therapy

If you’re like most, who you are at the core is deeply tied to those you spend the most time with. When those dynamics change it can be so hard to stay connected with yourself, while also either building upon or letting go of the relationships in your life. Together we’ll explore the source and emotions associated with your struggles so you can move through life with sustained confidence, clarity, and ease.

Couples Therapy

Wish you had a better handle on things between you and your love? You’re not alone. Every relationship, even the ones that seem so great, can take a lot of work. If you’ve been feeling disconnected, frustrated, or experiencing hurt or resentment, I can help hold the pain in a judgment-free space so you both can feel comfortable discussing and fully expressing yourselves.

Finding the balance of all of these relationships and daily life can make you feel:

  • like something needs to change, but you’re not exactly sure what that is or how to change it

  • stuck and tired of doing the same things over and over again without seeing any improvements.

  • like you want to live a better life than you’re living now

  • sad, anxious, confused or overwhelmed - that you’re alone with your feelings without anyone you can really talk to

You've come to the right place.

My name is Tracey Hefter and my work with people is based on a core belief that the therapist-client relationship has the ability to profoundly change and improve people’s' lives. As a clinical psychologist and a relationship expert, I strive to create a safe and supportive place in which together we can explore and understand whatever is making life difficult.
